Restoring
David’s Tabernacle "After
this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is
fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord," (Acts 15:16-17, 1
Chronicles 13-16; 23-25; Amos 9:11-12). John the beloved says, that the Father is seeking those who worship Him in Spirit and Truth, John 4:24. John goes on further to say that we are invited to go to the Fathers house, the song “Come and go with me to my Fathers house, it’s a big, big house, there’s lots and lots of rooms,” is a good illustration of this - John 15:1-4. The House of Prayer is a place in which we can worship the Father in the spirit with truth. Isaiah 56:6-8 states that God will make us joyful in the House of Prayer. There is joy in prayer and in having a place to meet for corporate praise and intercession. God’s church as a house of prayer for all nations (i.e. International House Of Prayer) is a major theme in scripture. The church building should be used for more than just church on Wednesday and Sunday. What good does it do to pay all the bills for having a facility you do not use? Psalm 132 states that David could not rest until a dwelling place was established. Isaiah 62:6 states, we are to give God no rest until Jerusalem becomes a praise in the earth. Jesus told us to watch and wait day and night until he comes. We are to establish continual prayer vigils: watching, warring and waiting. There will be no rest until God truly has a dwelling place and our Jerusalem becomes a praise on the earth, Acts 1:8. The model of King David’s Tabernacle is one were worship and intercession going on 24 hours a day is the same as the heavenly model in scripture; (Leviticus 6:12-13; 24:2-4; 1 Chronicles 9:23,33; 2 Chronicles 6:20; Nehemiah 4:9; Psalms 132:5; Isaiah 62:6-7; Zechariah 8:18-21; Luke 2:37; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Timothy 5:5; 1 Thessalonians 3:10; 5:17; Revelation 4:8-11; 5:8). The International House of Prayer is a 24-hours a day, citywide, worship and warfare, inter-denominational prayer ministry serving the body of Christ. This ministry is modeled after the tabernacle of David with singers and musicians being released to lead corporate intercession and worship 24-hours a day. This is an effective method for the churches in the county to come together and DWELL in unity so that God can unlock His commanded blessing. This also helps so that they can take time slots to worship and pray. Winkey Pratney says, “The two essential conditions of revival are unity and prayer. (The Apostolic group Jesus left on the earth were ' All together in one place ... with one accord continued steadfast in prayer' when revival came. Winkey Pratney goes on to say that, “Revival has two foundation stones: the preparedness of man and the sovereignty of God." The Word and history teach us that an attitude of fatalism and indifference must be abandoned before revival can be expected.” The Word of God Declares "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations" Mark 11:17. "I urge you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship," Romans 12:1, (Acts 15:14-18). This House of Prayer for All Nations ministry includes continuous praise and prayer dethroning the principalities and power over a region declaring Gods sovereignty. This is in the spirit of Revelation 4-5 “Harp & Bowl” worship and warfare prayer gatherings, the harp representing praise and the bowl representing the prayers of the saints which is at the heart of David’s Tabernacle. The Psalmist understood this principle; he interwove prayer, praise, intercession, worship, adoration, repentance, confession and petitions with song, melody and spontaneous instrumentation set to contemporary music. We will one-day worship God before His throne night and day for eternity. Monastic Monks established a 24 hour House of Prayer with priests ministering in Gods temple on rotating three-hour shifts as in the Temple of Old.
