Halloween What is its true meaning and
purpose?
Pray for Halloween
or as the neo-pagans term it Sam Hein. It is a demonic holiday people and animal
are sacrificed is secret ritualistic devil worship services all over the world
in an attempt to gain power and acceptance and to get in contact with the dead.
Sam Hain (Halloween or All-Hallows Eve, October 31) - This is the Witches New
Year. It Marks the end of the beginning, and the turning of the Wheel of Life
into the next year. It's a time of cold, dearth, and darkness. Candles are lit
in remembrance of dearly departed ones. It's also a period of time when the veil
between the physical and spirit world is at its thinnest, when powers are high,
and communication with the dead is easiest. Shunned by the Christian church as
being an evil holiday, it is anything but evil. Symbology of the present day
"Halloween" ties close to that of the old ways. Costumes are worn to
scare off the benign and evil spirits. Candles lit and placed within
Jack-O-Lanterns which now serve as decoration, used to be placed outside the
homestead, to protect the residence from those benign spirits. The art of
"Trick-Or-Treat" keeps alive the festival which was symbolized with
plenty of food, and offerings of food to those who have recently crossed into
the spirit world, and have not yet returned, as all spirits do. Rejoice and
cherish, as now is not only a time of death, but also the birth of the new year.
Halloween is the night that neo-pagans worship the goddess, mother earth and Sam
Hein, the horned God. Sam
Hain (pronounced Sah-ween) is the Celtic name for the holiday Americans call
Halloween, All Souls Day, All Saints Day, November Eve, Dea De Los Muertes,
Hallowe'en. Halloween most likely began somewhere between 1000 and 100 B.C.
among the Celtic people. The actual holiday was a commemoration of the new year
(Sep./Oct. 1993, p. 29). It was at this time of the year that Baal, the Celtic
god of Spring and Summer, ended his reign. It was also when the Lord of the
Dead, Sam Hain, began his reign.
Every
October 31st, hundreds-of-thousands of children dress in costumes which range
from the adorable, cute and sweet to the macabre, grotesque, morbid, scary and
Satanic. This custom is ritually repeated because, because it is ritual that has
always been practice since the holidays demonic inceptions. Some say, "It
is a great way for children to get candy, have harmless fun and pretend they are
someone they are not."
But where
did the rituals come from? Why do people carve jack-o-lanterns? Why do children
dress in costumes? Where did the tradition of bobbing for apples at parties
originate? Why when children approach a strangers door do they enthusiastically
exclaim, "trick or treat?" How did the custom of orange and black as
the colors of Halloween get started? Where did these rituals originate?
Here is some specific Info. on Halloween.
The week of Halloween
has the most kidnappings because Satanist, Wicca's, witches, pagans etc...
commit child sacrifice to their gods and goddesses, and mother nature including
the horned god on that night. Brothers and sisters I suggest you get in your
prayer closet and start praying and fasting. A whole month before Halloween
witches, Wicca's, pagans, and Satanist start cursing houses, churches, communities,
and people. they pray to the devil that the people will get involved with cults
and the occult. On Sam Hein night or as we know it Halloween the high priest's
or high priestesses to be will sacrifice someone to gain a closer position to
Satan in hell. This shows us the important of praying to God that He would
reveal Himself to this lost and dying world. With neo-paganism on the rise as
the church of Jesus Christ we must rally up the troops and support one another
and reach out to these people we must do something to stop the death tolls. In
some intentionally un-mentioned town a child of God got set free from the
satanic church. She said there were high level police officers, government
officials even a Presbyterian pastor who were involved with the satanic church
and they would watch the next high priestess to be sacrifice another person to
their horned god. Well on the night this girl who was to be the next high priestess
to be was going to sacrifice someone she found out it was her best friend. She
left and got involved in a Christian church well she is okay however there are
many out there still involved. She found out her best friend is going to be the
next high priestess. This is real and scary information. As Christians whatever
we bind on earth is bound on heaven we have the keys of the kingdom and the
gates of hell shall not prevail against us, If God be for us who can be against
us, nothing shall by any means harm us, no weapon formed against us shall
prosper, we must take up the breast plate of righteousness, the helmet of
salvation, we must gird our loins with truth, our feet must be shod with the
good news of peace, we must take up the shield of FAITH by which we quench ALL
the FIERY darts of the enemy, and sword of the spirit which is the word of God.
As a Christian and if you are not a Christian I beg you to go to this
page now! If You have not confessed Christ as your savior you are in for a
rough ride and if you have sin in your life you are a target for the enemy so I
plead with your to repent, turn from and forsake all yours sins and ask Christ
to come into your heart and forgive you of all of your sins. Right now all you
Christians I ask you to plead the blood of Jesus over your mind and spirit. Pray
the lord will protect you and set His hedge of protection about you and give you
wisdom and discernment. This is real life and these are real devils. Please do
something about this in your community and the realm you live in. The Satanist
live their lives for satan every where the go. If you ever read their statement
of believes they do not have set meeting they just assimilate those they can. So
we must get equipped to fight.
Halloween is
really of DRUIDIC origin. Most of the customs connected with the day are
remnants of ancient "religious" beliefs and celebrations of the New
Year, first of the Druids and then of the Romans who conquered them. For the
Celtic tribes who followed the religion of the Druids and lived in Wales,
Ireland, Scotland, and Britain, Nov. 1 was New Years Day. It was also a joint
festival honoring their Sun "god" and "Samhain", the lord of
the dead.
The Druidic
festival involved men and women who had to fear not only the departed spirits,
who were to return during the evening hours, they must also fear the Druid
priests themselves. It was a time of mass human sacrifice. "Men and women,
young and old, criminals and innocents, were forced into huge wooden and thatch
cages. Often these cages were fashioned in the shape of giants - `wicker men' -
perhaps representations of Sam Hain himself. At a signal from the presiding
Druids, these immense structures were torched, everything in them burned to
cinders." After the sacrifices, the Druids held thanksgiving meals around
"roaring bonfires" made up of the bodies they killed, thus the name
bonfire or bone-fire.
In Latin
America they call that day Dea De Los Muertes (the day of the dead). They dress
in black and parade around town so they will blend in with the dead spirits
walking on the earth and so they will not be messed with.
Because the
Celtic day started at sunset, and ran to the following sunset, the festival
began on the eve of November 1, when the souls of the departed were supposed to
revisit their old homes in order to warm themselves by the fire and to comfort
themselves with the good cheer provided for them in the kitchen or the parlor by
their affectionate kinsfolk. All Hallows' Eve, as the beginning of winter and
the dying time of the old year, was a night when the dead stalked the
countryside. Offerings of food and drink were put out for the ghosts. It was
believed by the Druids that during Sam Hain, the dead would play "tricks on
mankind and caused panic and destruction. They had then to be appeased"
(Ibid., Vol. 4, p. 440). Part of this appeasement process involved the giving of
food to the spirits as they visited the homes. This formed the foundation of the
modern practice of "trick or treat." Another common belief of the
Celts was the idea that those who had died the previous year "had been
transformed into animals." Thus, to welcome the dead on this sacred night,
the Celts "dressed as animals." Then, "As the dawn broke, they
made a great parade to the edge of the settlement, in hopes of leading the
ghosts into paradise" (Common Boundary, Sep./Oct. 1993, p. 30).
In 834 A.D.
Gregory IV extended the feast for all the church and it became known as All
Saint's Day, still remembering the dead. Sam Hain, a Druid god of the dead was
honored at Halloween in Britain, France, Germany and the Celtic countries. Sam Hain
called together all wicked souls who died within the past year and that were
destined to inhabit animals. This is were the fear of black cats came in.
It was the
Druid's belief that on the eve of this festival, Sam Hain called together the
wicked souls that within the past 12 months had been condemned to inhabit the
bodies of animals. They were released in the form of ghosts, spirits, witches or
elves.
Halloween is
a rite with pagan, demonic roots. The Celtic people who lived over 2,000 years
ago, feared the evening of October 31st more than any other day of the year. It
was the eve of the Lord of the Dead. To celebrate, the people built bonfires,
wore masks and costumes in order to prepare for the arrival of spirits. Fire
rituals and divination were part of their celebration. Pagan priests even
offered human and animal sacrifices.
The ceremony
of Halloween underwent an infusion of other pagan influences when the Celt
homeland was absorbed by the Roman empire. While Rome allowed the Druid priests
to continue all their ceremonies, "except human sacrifice," new
rituals of Roman origins were also incorporated. "Chief among them was the
worship of Pomona, goddess of the harvest. Representing bounty and fecundity,
Pomona was shown in art sitting on a great basket of fruits and flowers, a horn
of plenty at her feet. Apples were the sacred fruit of the goddess, and many
games of divination involving apples entered the Sam Hain customs through her
influence. One of the most popular involved bobbing for apples.
Centuries
later, Pope Gregory III moved All Hallows' or All Saints Day, the day which
commemorated the saints and martyrs, from 13 May to 1 November in an attempt to
Christianize the pagan festival of the dead (Man, Myth and Magic, Vol. 1, p.
67). On All Hallows, many churches staged pageants in which participants would
dress up either as a patron saints or demons. This became a way to celebrate All
Hallows or perhaps to scare away real demons (Halloween and Satanism, pp.36-37).
The American
celebration rests upon Scottish and Irish folk customs which can be traced, in a
direct line, from pre-Christian time. Although Halloween has become a night of
celebration to many, its beginnings were otherwise. The earliest Halloween
celebrations were held by the Druids in honor of Sam Hain, lord of the dead,
whose festival fell on November 1.
Michael
Judge gives the final historical link in the evolution of the name for this
holiday when he writes, "Grafted onto one of the Church's great holy days,
Sam Hain became All Hallows' Eve, contracted over years of usage to All Hallow's
Eve and, ultimately, Halloween" (Common Boundary, Sep./Oct. 1993, p. 31).
It was the
Celts who chose the date of October 31 as their New Year's Eve and who
originally intended it as a celebration of everything wicked, evil and/or dead.
Also during their celebration they would gather around the campfire, and offer
their animals, their crops, and sometimes themselves as a sacrifice. This is
were Bonfires came into existence or bone-fire.
This
celebration of the honored the god of the dead on this particular night. The
Celts believed that the sinful souls of those who had died during the year had
been relegated to the bodies of animals. Through gifts and sacrifices their sins
could be expiated and their souls freed, to claim a "heavenly" reward.
Sam Hain was the one who did the judging and decreed in what form their
existence was to continue, whether in the body of an animal here on earth or in
a human body in "heaven".
Therefore it
was common for horses to be sacrificed since they were sacred to the Sun god.
They also sacrificed humans, mostly men who were criminals, were put in wicker
thatched cages and were set on fire by the Druid priests. The human sacrifices
were prohibited by the Roman conquerors. However, horses were still being
sacrificed as late as A.D. 400.
And
throughout the Middle Ages, in Europe, black cats were thrown into fires, in
wicker cages, because they were thought to be friends of witches or even witches
transformed.
The Druids,
an order of priests in ancient Gaul and Britain, also believed that the cat was
sacred because cats once had been human beings but were changed as a punishment
for evil deeds. From these Druidic beliefs come the present-day use of witches,
ghosts, and cats in Halloween activities.
The Sam Hain
celebration used nuts, apples, skeletons, witches and black cats. Divination and
auguries were practiced as well as magic to seek answers for the future. Black
cats were considered to be reincarnated beings with the ability to divine the
future. During this festival
Supernatural
beings terrified the populace. Even today witchcraft practitioners declare
October 31st as the most conducive time to practice their arts.
Because of
its Occult history and symbolism, many informed Christians avoid any activity
that would appear to support, promote or celebrate Halloween. Other Christians
attempt to minimize the glorification of Halloween's Occult roots by refusing to
directly participate in costuming or activities where witchcraft, Satan, or
demonic themes are prevalent. They feel that participation in Halloween and even
trick-or-treating is acceptable if alternative costumes and themes are
substituted or gospel tracts are given at the door. There is not total agreement
among believers and churches concerning appropriate Christian responses to this
pagan holiday. Knowledgeable Christians;at the very least they will certainly
want to avoid Halloween's more obvious glamorization of the Occult. The Bible is
replete with warnings and examples of involvement with the Occult. Occult
practices are an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) and Witchcraft
was a crime punishable by death in the Old Testament (Exodus 22:18). The New
Testament gives several examples of proper Christian response to the Occult
(Acts 19:19; 2 Corinthians 6:14).
Many
Christian parents and churches provide alternatives such as Harvest
Celebrations, evangelistic youth rallies, etc... Some churches provide prayer
meetings on October 31st to stand against the rise of crime and illegal
activities that often correspond on this night. Christians can also pray for the
salvation of the many Satanists, Neo-pagans and Witches who are celebrating this
day as an important religious holiday. Some Christians have also taken steps to
remove the celebration of Halloween from public schools. Christian holidays that
celebrate the birth of Christ or His resurrection have been discontinued from
practically every public school system. Only Halloween with its themes of the
Occult, Satan, and witchcraft (often recognized by the IRS as non-profit
religious organizations) is allowed in most public school districts.
Some
churches and Christians also celebrate October 31st as "Reformation
Day." It was on October 31, 1517 that Martin Luther nailed the Ninety-five
Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Church in Germany. This event helped launch
the Protestant Reformation. The Reformation helped millions turn away from Papal
authority and salvation through "indulgences" or good works and turn
towards biblical authority and salvation by grace through faith.
I do not
believe in using or associating with any pagan holidays or symbols I would much
rather celebrate God Ordained Holidays which there are plenty of COMPLETELY GOD
ORDAINED. The Original First Century Christian celebrated the Jewish Holidays.
However the already compromised Catholic church in third and fourth to eighth
centuries C.E. started to change the Jewish holidays to the Greek holidays
adding the Christian flavor to try to save them which was compromise. Instead of
killing fun we should return to biblical fun. I am going to be praying and
fasting for the PAGAN HIGH HOLY-DAY of HALLOWEEN, (the day of the dead). we must
choose to do more than just talk about it we must get groups of intercessors
together pray that God will set the captives free, and then go out and hand out
tracks and share the gospel with the hungry little kids. Daniel he was a man who
prayed against sin and was persecuted not for just talking and preaching about
it. THE JEWISH HOLIDAYS ARE GOD ORDAINED AND THEY ARE ETERNAL, Lev 23:2,4; Exo
23:13-19. They are a holy convocation to Yahweh. The NT church meet on and celebrated
the Jewish Holidays; Pentecost/50th/Feast of Weeks, Acts 2:1; 20:16; 1 Cor 16:8;
Passover, 1 Cor 11/Rom 11:16-17. Jesus died on the Jewish Passover and rose on
the day that Moses crossed through the red sea making a way for use to get from
sinful Egypt to Gods promised land. Jesus fulfilled the OC. Jesus did not come
to do away with the Old Covenant but to fulfill it, Matt 5:17-20; Rom
3:19-28,31. We are to establish the law by obedience to God through faith
knowing we are not justified by the works of the law but by the precious blood
of Jesus. Jesus did away with the adverse effects of the law and sin which was
death no one can keep the law with out Gods help and free gift of salvation, 1
JOhn 3:6-9; Eph 2:8-10; James 1:21-27; 2:14-26; Rom 3:10,23; 5:8; 6:23; 10:9-10;
Acts 2:38-39; 3:19; 4:12; Col 2:16.
